ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Chris
I'm a film fan who graduated in 2016 with a degree in English, Film & Television. I'm currently working in retail but really wanted to pursue my passion for film. I have studied auteurism through Hitchcock, German Expressionism and Film Noir. This has shaped quite an eclectic taste.

I was born in the mid-eighties and, as a child, when it came to films, I would watch anything and everything. My first memory of the cinema was watching Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (1990) when I was about 6 or 7 so it must have been a re-release. At home, my most memorable films were: Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991), Mortal Kombat (1995), Batman (1989) and House on Haunted Hill (1999).

If I had to pick a favourite film it would probably be between 4 films, (yes, I'm that undecisive): Casablanca (1942), The Apartment (1960), Batman (1989) and Haunted Honeymoon (1986).

I am constantly at the cinema (now it's re-opened) and I'm always watching films on the small screen in my humble abode. I'd love any suggestions be they old or new.

The reviews on this page are my own views. I do, however, listen to a few film podcasts (Hello to Jason Isaacs) and do read quite a bit online so I do absorb quite a bit, but I usually stick to my own opinions on what I see myself. So enjoy!
